Who's writing this.
Hi, I'm Ashley.
I've spent more than a decade working in strategy at Disney, learning a lot about people, business and how ideas make their way into the world. But my curiosity has never stayed neatly inside my job.
It has taken me into competitive boxing, psychology, AI, building websites and plenty of other rabbit holes along the way. I like learning things I'm not yet good at, asking questions I don't know the answer to, and occasionally building things nobody asked for.
For a long time, I thought life was supposed to follow a fairly straight line. Get good grades. Get a good job. Keep moving forward. The older I get, the less convinced I am that any of us have to become only one thing.
Now, in my mid-30s, I'm somewhere in the middle - figuring out what I want the next chapter of my life to look like, while trying not to rush towards an answer.
This site is where I try to make sense of some of it.
About ambition and enough. Fear and courage. Leadership and uncertainty. Curiosity, identity, and what happens when the easy answers stop working.
I'm not writing from the other side of any of it. Just from where I am.
For now, this is all of me. Or at least the parts I've learned how to write down.
